Dancing is near!

This year's festival "Kaleidoscope" is a feast attended by the entire Polish dance. We invited choreographers with their latest productions of this season, especially because it was close to our idea of a creative meeting between artists, audience and critics. This year, we are interested in both the international dance project, as well as an unusual relationship of independent choreographers from institutional teams.

During our festival, we want to provide a wide presentation of dance community, to make the festival activities, focused on the creation of community among artists, critics, viewers and friends of the festival. Every year we take the challenge to show the most interesting productions, reflecting the most valuable present trends in the Polish dance. We react to changes and new aesthetics, being one of those dance festivals, which aim to observe and support the latest trends in dance. We also aim to integrate the dance community, bringing together around the festival both practitioners and theorists. We therefore propose a rich accompanying program, whose main goal is to get used to the idea of the audience of contemporary dance and knowledge of its representatives in informal situations. Among the international projects we draw attention to the performance "Object", the production of Israeli Dutch Russian, whose creators are Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben, choreographers normally associated with the Netherlands, and until recently working in Poland in Bytom Dance Theatre and Movement "Rozbark ". "Object" is the voice of the intervention on the cultural perception of women. The play was awarded the prestigious Golden Mask in Russia. Unforgettable Daniela Komędera ‘s performance will be able to be admired at the play of Maciej Kuźmiński "Room 40". Performance won the audience award at the Polish Dance Platform in 2014. The next presentation "Nesting" is the result of cooperation between the Krakow Dance Theatre under the direction of Eric Makohona and the Israeli choreographer Idan Cohen. Choreography refers to the idea of seeking own place in the world. In addition to these performances, the festival also include performances of Philip Szatarski and Radek Hewel,t independent choreographers working in Vienna, then performance "Swan Like II: Dying Swan" of Barbara Bujakowska, choreographer from Krakow, educated in Linz (Austria). This show is almost like a dialogue with mentioned before performances : "Object" and "Room 40". Similarly, the multimedia spectacle "Matilda R." of well known for Bialystok audience ,choreographer Karolina Garbacik, which is about modern women and their roles, they have to play themselves and in the society.
